Impact Evaluation
Every funded project must report on its impact at its final milestone. How that impact is evaluated depends on the amount funded, so that the cost of evaluation stays proportionate to the grant.
- Up to $5,000 — a self-assessed impact report prepared by the project team: what changed, for whom, and the evidence you have for it. State plainly what is measured and what is estimated. No third-party evaluation is required.
- $5,001 to $25,000 — a self-assessed impact report, reviewed by the Socious Fund team. We may ask for supporting data or a short call before the final milestone is approved.
- Above $25,000 — an evaluation by an objective third party: an independent organization of your choice with relevant domain expertise.
The tiers use the total amount funded to the project, in USD, across all its milestones.
Having a clear, evidence-based account of your impact will help assess the progress of your project and significantly increase your chances of receiving funding in future rounds.
